You can tell all kinds of tales but nothing makes a night of time well spent together like telling scary horror stories.

People all love to be scared and if you are looking to do that to your friends and family for fun sake then this article will give you a brief look at a few stories you can consider on adding to you storytelling list. There are many to choose from and a few examples are the Amityville Horror story, the tale of Bloody Mary, the double tragic legend of David Gregory and Carmen Winstead, and the vengeful Bell Witch.

The first tale you can bring up is the Amityville Horror, which has a very defined cult following, spanning books and films alike. The story itself involves a crazy madman nicknamed Butch that murdered his parents and then killed his siblings. Since then, there have been reports of hauntings that occur frequently in the house. There have been a number of strange things that have occurred like locked doors and windows becoming mysteriously unlocked.

The next famed tale involves Bloody Mary. The story is very troubling and began when a girl named Mary, who very beautiful, got into a tragic accident that left her face horribly disfigured. It is said that in order to see her again, one was chant her name three times within the darkness in front of a mirror.

The story in which Mary release her vengeance on those conjuring her has also been popularize by the media outlets so it would not hurt to add in your own little plot twist to make the story a bit unfamiliar to those who may have already heard it.

The Death of David Gregory and Carmen Winstead are two different tales but share a similar premise both involving young people being pushed into a sewer to their deaths. Theses tales are actually rooted by a chain letter that was posted over the internet and although they are similar in context the ways that both victims met their ill fates are quite different.

The David Gregory story involves the letter itself and for not re-posting it as it was stated to, was killed and found dead after reading it in a sewer. The story of Carmen involves her actually being pushed into a sewer to her death by a gang of girls. Both stories are connected since Davids death was caused by not re-posting the chain letter death of Carmen.

The last of the scary horror stories is about the Bell Witch which all happened in 19th century in Tennessee. The spirit associated with this is of a deceased woman named Kate Batts, who believed she was cheated out of purchased land by a man seller. Before her death, she swore to get revenge on the man and all his descendants which would span in a reign of terror for over 200 hundred years.
