There are many kinds of head pieces that people can wear to serve as protection for their heads. One of the common ones are those known as turbans. You may find them in a lot of boutiques around your place. If you have bought one, then you need to find out the ways and methods of turban tying so that there can be a variety of designs that you can try.

It is also necessary for people to know the kinds of turbans that have been used due to several reasons. In every location, the style and the color symbolizes a uniqueness to them. Some pieces are worn when people mourn over someone while the rest can be used during celebrations over events in the the life of its wearer.

There are indeed pieces that can only be applied and utilized by certain individuals because others simply cannot have them. It is like that since some of them can be worn based on the race, degree and the social status of the wearers. In this case, people have to think about the consequences and condition before wearing them.

Believers of Mohammed in Egypt would normally wrap one over skullcaps that are known as tarboosh. There are also Indians who also do the same, but they can also wrap scarves on their necks. Believers of Hinduism also need to shave their heads prior to making use of these turbans.

As what was mentioned awhile ago, the styles of the turbans when worn can also depend on the events that take place in the lives of a person. In times of mourning, the ones that can be worn are those that have muted colors and are plain. This is just the same as the Western tradition of dressing up in black in funerals.

However, it is a different story when it comes to some weddings since shiny fabrics that have jewels in them are the basic item. They can only be different on the way the wearer wrap it around their heads. The location of the person makes them different among other locations.

Rituals along with other ceremonies also demand the presence of these turbans. One good example of the ritual is known as the Pagri Rasam ceremony. They are normally observed in the Northern part of India and also in Pakistan. While his family is watching, the elder of a tribe will wear a turban to celebrate his appointment.

It is a ceremony wherein the responsibility of the elder who died will be passed on to the elder wearing the head piece. Besides the things that make a turban very necessary in the lives of some people, there is also something that can represent them and that is their color. The colors have meanings as well as what experts claimed.

The status of the individual will be distinguished with the color of the turbans. Events are also symbolized with the exchange of turbans. It is also possible that the turban tying style can also mean something in other cultures. Try to pick one in the stores and do not forget the things that you learned here.
